Lao Tzu. 571-531 BC     Chinese philosopher, regarded as the founder of Taoism and author of the Tao Te Ching.

In this page you will find my favorite quotes from the Tao Te Ching, better known as the book of wisdom. I believe, our path to personal growth can be accomplished by observing and studying what our ancestors had to say. The wisdom of the Sages, their knowledge will forever serve as a source of inspiration to us, all.

Please, think for a moment on a historical fact: The quotes from a Sacred Book known as the Tao Te Ching that you will see below were comprised 2700 years ago by a blessed and gifted man. He did this, with the aid of divine intervention, roughly 684 years even before Jesus Christ was born. Some of these verses you've already known because they have been used and assimilated by us Westerners. They were taken out of China, copied and brought over by traders and missionaries, to Europe, the middle East and to The Americas. Other verses you might have never heard of. Regardless of which, please, pay attention to their meaning for they are food to the soul and will help anyone grow and blossom. These passages are an embodiment of the (Chinese Way of Thinking) and an integral part of their wise and peaceful culture, which I personally happen to admire tremendously. Let me point out some of their traditions... There is an altar in every home, it is used to pay tribute and honor deceased family members. I think this is a truly blessed country were everyone is taught to have deep respect for the elderly. I’ve been admiring China since the day I was born. Many years ago, when I was much younger, I foretold the rise of this great nation. It happened in due time and by God's Will, (The dormant Dragon has awakened)
